REDUCING ALUM USING GENESIS CARBON FOR ORGANIC CULTIVATION AREA IN THANH HOA, LONG AN

NFC is a pioneer in the production and supply of clean food. With the desire to bring customers quality products, organic standards, the company wants to develop its own input materials to control itself most strictly, so in addition to building advanced factories, the company also develops large-scale fields, organic farming.

Among the company’s purely organic farming areas, the acid sulfate soils in Long An with an area of 15 hectares of corn land and 8 hectares of taro land in Thuy Tay commune, Thanh Hoa district, Long An province are facing many difficulties. The soil in this area has a pH of 3.0-4.0, while the varieties of plants expected to be cultivated need a pH of 5.5 – 6.5 to ensure good growth and development.

At the site, JVSF engineers and Japanese experts measured and surveyed the soil quality and water sources inside and outside the planting area. The results showed that the soil pH was about 4.0; the water between the rows had a pH of about 3.0. This shows that the soil is heavily acidic as well as of poor soil quality.

With the results achieved in similar farming areas, Japanese experts have proposed a solution to use Nema2 (Genesis Carbon’s brand in Vietnam) in a comprehensive and effective way.

Start by treating seeds/tubers with Water with a concentration of 1g Nema2/liter helps seeds/tubers have great initial natural vitality, grow roots quickly, and resist diseases and molds.

The soil before cultivation is mixed with a concentration of 1kg Nema2/ha, which will help reduce acidity and increase pH by 1.0 unit. At the same time, Genesis Carbon in Nema2 also helps to improve the soil, making it more porous, supporting the development of beneficial microorganisms, helping the roots and plants grow well in organic farming conditions.
