Overview of the farm

San Ha duck farm (Long An) is one of the large-scale modern industrial livestock models, with outstanding features such as:

  • Scale: 30,000 ducks, raised according to a closed industrial model Closed.

  • Glasshouse: Integrated automatic cooling and heating system, helps to control optimal temperature.

  • Cage structure: Includes 07 shelves, each shelf has 03 floors, scientifically arranged.

  • Automatic equipment: Feeding trough system, drinking trough system, and automatic manure collection and pressing system.

  • Amount of manure discharged: Estimated at 5.5 tons/day when the ducks reach their maximum weight.

Environmental treatment goals

The farm aims to treat fresh manure odor right at the source, improving waste management efficiency:

  • Odor treatment: On the amount of fresh manure each day, before pressing the manure.

  • Compost after pressing: Deodorize to make quality compost material.

  • Wastewater: Reduces odors and utilizes as liquid fertilizer for plants.

Solutions for treating the environment of duck farms

Through field surveys and working directly with farm owners, JVSF has deployed an automatic nozzle system using NEMA2 solution, with the following highlights:

  • Install an automatic NEMA nozzle system on the manure conveyor in the barn area.

  • The system operates synchronously with the screw conveyor, helping to evenly spray the treatment solution onto the manure as soon as it is discharged.

Effectiveness of the solution

1. Effective odor treatment at the source

  • NEMA2 solution is sprayed directly onto the duck manure as soon as it comes into contact with the conveyor belt.

  • The manure is further mixed evenly on the screw conveyor, ensuring that the manure and NEMA solution are thoroughly mixed before pressing.

2. Compost after pressing is easy to compost, has little odor

  • Compost after pressing contains NEMA2, significantly reduces odor, and also helps shorten the composting time.

  • Compost after this process has high nutritional value and little odor, suitable for use fertilizer for plants.

3. Odor treatment in the barn area

  • NEMA2 solution remains on the screw conveyor, helping to limit odor spread in the barn area.

  • Create a clean barn environment, reduce odor pressure for workers and livestock.
