The main reasons are:<\/p><ul><li><strong>The load of fat and protein<\/strong> in wastewater is high, easily decomposed anaerobically and produces odors.<\/li><li>The process of collecting and storing sludge occurs continuously, creating an ideal environment for odors to form and spread.<\/li><\/ul><p>Therefore, odor control in <strong>sludge treatment areas<\/strong> is essential to ensure environmental hygiene and ambient air quality.<\/p><h2>Proposed solution: Spraying NEMA solution to deodorize on-site<\/h2><p>In order to effectively control odors and maintain stable operation of the wastewater treatment system, the solution of using <strong>NEMA solution spraying system<\/strong> has been applied, including:<\/p><h3>1. Automatic NEMA spray system<\/h3><ul><li><strong>Equipped with:<\/strong> Solution tank, metering pump and specialized spray nozzle.<\/li><li><strong>Spray location:<\/strong> Sludge tank and flotation area.<\/li><li><strong>Operating mechanism:<\/strong> <strong>NEMA2<\/strong> solution is sprayed periodically or continuously, ensuring odor control right from the source.<\/li><\/ul><h3>2. Manual NEMA1 spray system<\/h3><ul><li><strong>Spraying by pressure pump<\/strong>, using <strong>NEMA1<\/strong> solution from a central tank.<\/li><li><strong>Treatment location:<\/strong> Water sumps, leakage points and areas at risk of local odor.<\/li><li><strong>Frequency:<\/strong> 1\u20132 times\/day, or according to actual needs, especially during times of strong odor.<\/li><li><strong>Benefits:<\/strong> Flexible, fast treatment, significantly improving the quality of the working and surrounding environment.<\/li><\/ul><h2>Experimental time and evaluation method<\/h2><p><strong>Implementation time:<\/strong> From 4:00 p.m. on <strong>October 7, 2022<\/strong> to 9:30 a.m. on <strong>October 11, 2022<\/strong> (total <strong>3.5 day).<\/strong>).<\/strong>Evaluation method:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Machine measurement:<\/strong> Using specialized equipment to measure odor concentration at key locations.<\/li><li><strong>Sensory:<\/strong> Actual assessment by operators throughout the testing process.<\/li><\/ul><h2>Results achieved<\/h2><h3>1. Significant reduction in odor<\/h3><ul><li><strong>Machine measurement results:<\/strong> The odor concentration in the <strong>sludge tank decreased significantly<\/strong>, especially when aerating &#8211; the point that usually causes the heaviest odor.<\/li><li><strong>Sensory assessment:<\/strong> After about 3 days of using <strong>NEMA1<\/strong>, the odor has decreased significantly. There is no longer a strong odor like before spraying.<\/li><\/ul><h3>2.
